The Philippine Rugby Football Union have announced a 23 player training roster for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games (SEAG). The Transcom Lady Volcanoes, will be vying to defend their Bronze Medal in Malaysia as they compete in their second Southeast Asian Games. A relatively new team, the Lady Volcanoes aim to finish in the top two. "The women will be wanting to go one better at this years SEA Games. Since their bronze medal finish in 2015, the ladies have invested more time and preparation for this years event. Looking back from 2015, the ladies are a more experienced playing group now. The additional two years under the guidance of both Shirley Russell and Ai Den Ng helps tremendously" shares Jake Letts, National Teams Head for the Volcanoes. The Lady Volcanoes will train together each week leading up to SEA Games. Eighteen players will be selected out of the twenty three to participate in the official SEAG high intensity training camp beginning August 5. The team will be coached by Shirley Russell and Ai Den Ng.
